my guiding question: how might we create playful circles of care for every child?

Dear reader,
Welcome to my site.
My niche in this world is exploring how humans, kids and adults, learn and grow with each other through play. I am interested in how technologies (digital and analog) may encourage greater, more accessible emotional co-regulation.
I explore definitions of adult-child co-regulation, its social mechanisms, its impact on psychological well-being, and related play-based activities. I aim to center trauma-responsive practices and design for historically marginalized communities.
I have worked on various ways of bringing people together to learn, including designing women's health workshops in Nepal, re-imaging play-based activities that teach social-emotional skills, building a web experience for educators to learn about using technology in classrooms, and rethinking park visitor centers in Japan to center biophilia, the human-nature connection.
Currently, I am documenting the experiences of people who have survived gender-based violence through a six-month ethnographic study funded by the Asian American Research Center at Stanford.
